Just Bought Our First Yaris

Hiya peeps,

Well, we've done it! We've bought our first Yaris. It's a 2000 model SR in Silver

Here it is as advertised in the Auto Trader

It's done just a tad over 37k, has had 1 owner (a lady Doctor), has a full Toyota service history, and has the optional sat-nav system fitted. Totally immaculate.

We got it for £3800.

The missus is well chuffed :D

yeah i sold mine for 1k more it was a 51reg had aircon an all the other SR bits tho, so i reckon u got a deal! now jus lower it a little!

We were really lucky finding such a nice one for such a great price.

I'll post some pics of the rear spoiler later this evening.

BTW - was the SR fitted with a TTE exhaust and spoiler as standard?

Yeah .. you probably would have if you got your's from a toyota dealer. Total rip off's dealers are sometimes.

Yeah, all SR's are fitted with TTE spoiler and springs as standard and pre 2002 ones have TTE exhaust as standard.

Great looking car you have just brought there. Your missus will be really pleased. As the yaris is a really good little car. I'm kinda glad that there still one more yaris in the house hold still or i would be upset that i sold mine on ;)

Still looking for some info on the sat-nav. Not too sure how to set it up.

The more we look around and drive the car, the better it feels.

Here's some better pics now it's been cleaned and polished (inc some of the rear spoiler as requested - s'cuse the missus cleaning it :D).

Mine was £9400 from Toyota Dealer in August 2002. It was only one month old, pre-reg (900 miles) and had Yaris mats, Mudflaps and full tank of fuel all in the deal. Not bad i don't think! Then my dad gave it to me in March this year! So in theory, it was free!

Voice of reason is the guy to speak to, he has the sat nav in the Yaris, I think Jaxx has as well but not sure if it the after market type.

Yeah, I just need to know how to work the damn thing (that's if I can actually get in the car! My missus won't stop driving it :ffs:). The unit is the optional extra gizmo - looks like a bit of a small telly! :D
