Pizza Delivery Car

I'm looking to buy a car strictly for delivering pizza in, and I figure a Toyota is the way to go considering how long they last and the relative inexpesiveness of their parts. I'm going to be spending less than $2k. Corollas are definately on my look list, and I need to know if there are any that were made that are just dogs. Any particular year or model that just have repeated, expensive issues...besides the obvious fact that I'll most likely be buying a 15-20 yr old car. Thanks for any help in advance. :)

87-92 Corolla 1.3 GL

Very cheap to pick one up & go on forever. Make sure you know what your looking at under the bonnet though! Because of the age there's usually a few problems

The GL and GTI from that era are good work horses. Just watch out for serious rust issues. Around the sun roof, front and rear wheel arches, and the tailgate just below the window. On the GTI models also look around the sideskirts as water can collect in them and eat the car to pieces (take a magnet). Mechanically both (GL & GTI) should be sound on a high milage cars. Check for obvious engine noises and oil leaks. If you get a GTI you won't have to worry about the Pizzas getting cold.:thumbsup:
