Swapping Rev1 Afm For Rev 3 Map Sensors

ive just found out my afm is buggered, so I was just going to replace it with a second hand item from fensport for £70.

But since ive just had a gt28rs turbo fitted, I was thinking about getting an apexi power fc so I can map my car porperly and get everything set-up and running nice.

Thing is im told I need to get the rev 3 map and mat sensors so the apexi power fc will work.

does anybody know how much this will cost and is it just a case of changing these sensors over to be able to use the apexi.

thanks.

You will need a Gen III MAT sensor & map sensor. stevencordiner (who will be your man to talk to) has had an issue with rev limits etc so needed a GenIII ignitor as well.

Cheers

just because its not polished doesn't mean not cared for, infact a bay that dusty and ****ty looking would be a massive + for me as you know its run fine not needing to be taken apart in ages.

so is that you buy apexi power FC give it to Thor and they fit it and make it work without the AFM?

So about £1600 depending on how much you can get the FC for?

when you put the motec on do you still have the AFM though?, because im told that its best to get rid of it as it can be "restrictive"..whatever that means

No you loose the AFM, the MOTEC comes with a 3 bar map sensor :D , on the fensport website it have a page of info of different costs involved between a rev3 install compaired to a rev1 / 2, and it says about the AFM removal making the install a slightly more expensive job for rev1 & 2.

Apexi are great, esp if you get it all sorted for £1000 :D, only brought up MOTEC as originally thought you were paying more, close to motec territory. :)
