AS mine are totally bald..you can;t even see where the tread was!!

on stock rev 2 rims.. I was wondering what reccomendations you guys have!!!!

I'm not after "more grip the better then suddenly let go and your ina bush" tyres.. but after the most "talkative" ones I can find.....

Any pointers? :help:

Nicola's Rev2 was extremely tail happy with part worn Falken ZE-512...

It stuck like glue after we fitted Toyo T1-S which we got through Mytyres.co.uk I swear by them. Better that the Goodyear F1's I had on my Rev3

thing with all the good years and other "ultra grippy tyres" can you feel whast going on???

do you get loads of warning that they are breaking away, or do they just grip and grip and grip, then let go?

I used to swear by my old nankang EX-500s.. (ona soarer anyway) ultimate grip was lower, but they were easier to control when on the limit!!!

If you think a MR is tail happy you dont want to drive a RX-7 or 200sx  :P

I know what your saying there Karma Supra, If you always use the same brand of ultra grippy I sure you will learn where it giveways.

interesting - I had proxies on my IS, and they were miles better than the standard bridgestones.

Pirelli P-Zeroes are often raved about - have them on the GS at the moment, and I am having trouble with the rears.

The rear wheels will spin at anything remotely like a hard start, even in the dry (and I have load of tread).

Was considering the F1's, as have heard good things about them.

Whats size wheels did you compare the proxies / f1's?

Your going to laugh at this. But i`ve got Barums (salvaged them off my B*W before it went) on the rear of my GT-4. Brilliant in the dry and not too bad in the wet. Very progressive break away. prob not best for an MR2 though as the balance is obviously different. :)

thats what I want.. progressive break away!

I never got around to getting any

I'll pop in tomorrow....

when i came to replacing mine, i could only afford Nakang, but they are very good, especially in the wet!

Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's. Great tyre.

There are slightly better tyres in the dry... but wet is unsurpassed.

Still goes sideways but I know when it's coming! ;)
