Just had an arguement with a idiot from Nowich Union about putting a turbo engine into my mums SR, he didn't quite understand that I knew more than him about both the engine and car

So now he's lost them my mums business when it runs our in Jan ;)

Just wondering, who'd be the best place to insure a Starlet SR with the Glanza V engine. I ask because he was telling me that some places get iffy about modified cars.

And before anyone says... YES this is my mum, YES she wants a turbo engine, YES she is cool B) B) B)

This is her car, haven't posted it yet so why not :D

Try Adrian Flux.

I take you've admitted to the other mods as well...

Yea, this was my general arguement with him...

He was saying... no, we don't insure cars with changed engines. So I ran circles around him saying, ok what about a turbo conversion.

So he was blabbering on about uprating everything else, but you don't need to because the engine plops straight in and works fine. Then I asked...

"so you wouldn't insure us if I uprated the air filter"

He dissapeared for a few mins, came back & said yes we would with an increase in premium. So I just said ok, why can't you just increase the premium on a turbo engine, he told me to ring some number. I just left.

At no point did he know who I was or that both my Mum & I have policies with them (and my brother for that matter). You'd think they would employ people that knew what they were doing in the first place  . All my Mum wanted to know was how much extra it would be

All the "cheap" places will run away screaming if you mention engine swaps or turbo conversions. You'd be best off selling up and buying a Glanza if you want to do this.
