Im wanting to put my beloved tubbie through a full service seeing as the winter weather is creeping in on us. However, what does a full service consist of?

im guessing

1 - oil change + filter

2 - Air filter

3 - Spark plugs - what are the best ones by the way?

4 - gear box fluid change

5 - radiator coolents + antifreeze check

6 - brake fluid check

Have i missed anything out?

Oh and how much would all this cost if i was to put it into a garage + do you boys save much going gold when you use your discount.

100 questions i know but im a curious fella!!!

Cheers

You forgot to top up your washer bottle :D

I think you just about covered everything there and if you can do it all yourself,

then do it cos i cant see you getting much change from £200 at a garage :(

Your probably looking at 2-3 hrs labour plus parts.

Parts you will need - oil+filter, gear box oil, coolent, sparks and an air filter - you woun't get much change from £170.

The expensive things are the plugs - £45 for a set of platinum plugs and the gear box oil will set you back about £40 . Coolents no cheap either at about £25.

The only things I can think of that you may want to consider are the dizzy cap and rotor arm - turbo's eat through them!!

Hope this is of somehelp,

Matt.
