:help:

New Member! I have a 1993 Cynos B. I do not know a lot about cars, but I like this one...

I have what a lot of you would probably consider a very basic question:

My left headlamp is dead. It looks like it would be easy to replace the bulb (used to do this kind of thing all the time on my old Peugeot 405, before it went up in flames), but am not sure about the Cynos.

Any ideas please?

More then likely an H4 bulb.

i think he wants a "How To"

ok

Pop the bonnet & at the back of the light there should be 3 cables connected in -

1 for your indicator middle one is main beams & the inner one is for the Fog lights.

un-clip the rubber seal & disconnect the lead

reach in the hole & feel for the 3 prongs of the bulb. there should be a clip holding them in place. with the clip on the inner side going up & round the bulb.

Push in & up on the clip & release the bulb.

crystalize is right - they're H4 bulbs (but anything like mine they're pants...)

hope this helps.

BTW welcome to TOC

no problem - not sure if your Cynos is like mine where the main beams really dim...

Halfords do a H4 upgrade bulb to Super white (i think) & i'd highly recomend them
