Anyone know what the widest tyre that can be fitted on a 7 inch wide rim?

on a 7" i wouldn't go wider than 225...

The geezer I bought the car off fitted 7 inch rims all round, and 205 tyres. I want to get wider rims (just the rim) as the Konig Imagine's I have are of the split rim variety, but I've tried everywhere, and can't get em :(

As long as I can fit a 225, I don't mind. I'll get 2 more complete wheels next year when funds permit.

I have 8" wheels all the way around, would it be worth my while to try to source some 7" ones for the fronts?

The more rubber you have; then the less chance of understeering

What size tyres did you have on the 7's Stu?

Rear: 45x17x235

Might be interested in buying the tyres off you if you sell them seperatly cos my rears are rubbish,

Woah! That's good news.

I didn't know you could fit tyres as wide as that on 7 inch rims. :o

... that's lightened the load. I was going to get wider rims for the back. Now I don't have to. Konig Imagine's are real hard to get hold of over here.
