When I bought mine, i knew the suspension was already gone, it sounded like an old creaky bed whist a young couple were being active in it!!

But hubbys 'knocks' and clunks (early signs) especially when going slowly over bumps such as road humps/sleeping policemen.

You can also possibly feel some of the play if the suspension is very worn, by feeling for movement in the wheel (bit like testing for bearings) tho you should probably be able to hear it by that point!

Finally mine tracked left on exceleration and right on deceleration. . . that is another tell tale sign apparently. . . .

Hope this helps :)

any noises from the turbo spinning , etc ?

Assuming that its got the standard airbox on and everything else is standard under the bonnet all you should hear is a slight whooshing/hissing noise when the turbo spools up. If it sounds excessively loud or whines then it may indicate a bearing problem. Although i suspect from looking at the condition and the mileage that everything should be hunky dory. Good luck with the test drive. Hope it all works out well.:thumbsup:
