Hign Idle

The engine goes into and off high idle mode frequently when idling in traffic with the ventilation fan in the ON position. The AC is turned off.

Is this normal?

It appears that the circulation fan is drawing too much power and the engine revs up to provide the same.

Mine's had the odd dicky do with the idle. It can jump suddenly or drop down to about 600 for no good reason. Usually it idles at around 800.

To be honest, its just a minor irritation in the great scheme of things.

Mine almost died three times in succession once in idle...never happened before or after except that one time... :o
