Hi all,

I just had a sidelight pop on my '93 Lucy and have taken the lens out to find I have a weird bulb!

It's a twin filament bulb with a white cap. It looks like a standard Stop/Tail bulb that's been dipped in white paint on the end.

Does anyone know if a standard stop/tail bulb will do? Why is it a twin filament anyway? I was wondering if maybe it was originally a combined side light and fog light? On mine the fog lights have been re-wired so that the switch on the dash operates the two spots either side of the grill. I presume that the original main beam lights were too far inboard for the UK regulations. (I think it's 400mm max.) My main beam is now incorporated in the headlights.

So, the side light fitting obviously requires a bulb with twin contacts even if the high powered one doesn't work. I think I'll just find a bulb and try it!

second filament are your parking lights work when headlights are and indicator switchs on second filament to give you extra light at night you have one either side some models carry the the side lights and turning lights together others like mine have them seperate.
