right i took my yaris in for a service yesterday, thinking the price of the service wud be the same price as the year before, the total came to 220 quid although it did need new brake pads, has any1 else had any exspensive services?

Ouch! The service cost will depend on the mileages I believe, so the 10,000 and 30,000 miles services will be cheaper than the 20,000 one. The 40,000 and 60,000 ones seem to be bigger as more inspections are required.

The price is deifferen, because there are two different types of service.... the intermediate and the full. It goes intermediate, then full, then intermediate, then full etc etc! That's why it costs more. If you have a look in your owners book, mainly the service bit, it lists everything thats done at each service, and you'll see that so much more is done at the full service!

Think of it this way....It gives you TWO years (or 20000 miles) to save up for each major service.

£220 is not really too bad considering the brake pads were changed at the major service.

Noone really likes to part with their hard earned money but you at least have the peace of mind that your Yaris is still one of the most reliable vehicles on the road :thumbsup:
