got my hydraulic engine lifter thingy today from sbits on twosrus.co.uk, it works a dream and even fits with an aftermarket strut brace :)

its a good thing for me as my old engine cover rod thing had broken so this is a refreshing change, no more trying to hold the engine cover up with a piece of wood lol.

i could really do with the one for the bonnet too as i had to remove the bonnet arm thingy to make the bonnet fit properly.

Glad you like the kit Trevor, thanks for the positive comments.

I've sent you a PM regarding a front bonnet strut kit for your CF bonnet.

lol yeah...my mates misses has has a pug 206cc and instead of a spare wheel she has a can...when the wheel gets a puncture it is sprayed into the tyre.

if i could do that i would ditch my biscuit! to save space and weight, that way if i had a puncture i could spray that foam stuff in the tyre and take it down to a tyre place to get fixed.

yup i know exactly what ya mean, its called "flat mate", its bout £8 and works a treat, i used some for my flat tyre last week. My spare wheel has long gone anyways to make room for my amps and stuff under my bonnet.

I've got a can of "tyre weld" (same stuff different name) .. binned the spare ages ago.

I take it the CF border front doesn't leak into the well then?

I guess this is okay till you damage a rim or burst a tyre!

Recovery bloke: So where is your spare wheel then

You: Oh, I took it out to save wieght, D'oh!

Personally I would leave it there (unless your car is used mainly on the track, if thats the case, get rid!).

As long as you have the can you are okay legally .. and a 17" rim will not fit in the wheel well anyway.
