Hi Chaps,

Has any of you bought and fitted the G6R Ramair Induction Filter kit from Fensport?

Is it easy to fit on the G6R (get the old one off etc...) and do you think its worth it?

Cheers for any help.

Burnsey.

sorry to hijack your post burnsey but was going to post the same question more or less. has anyone had both the blitz and the ramair and how do they perform in comparison e.g induction noise/bhp gain? what about the k&n too? is my car likly to need any adjustment after fitting any of these kits (air fuel mixture etc) as my car has a much less restrictive ss exhaust now? and finally is the blitz worth the extra cash or is any induction kit as good as the next one?

I have had both  They both seemed to run the same as each other power wise I think the blitz is louder thinking about it.

You dont need to have any adjustments to the air/fuel. Just reset the ECU when you fit the filter  On another note my Ram-Air is now on Finecactus's car  and thats still working  it's about 3 years old now so that says alot about the quality of the filter

erm......reset the ECU? (Y?)

You are increasing the airflow into the engine with a new filter the ecu reset will cause the engine to re-learn the flow and stuff  well thats what fensport told me it was more technical then that but that should give you the idea dude

I quess that is best done by someone who knows wot there doing.

No dude...

Fitting the kit is really easy as mentioned above. Just remove the stock gubbins and replace with aftermarket jobbie

To reset the ECU it's best to take the car for a drive (long enought for it to get to ragging temp). Get home and dissconnect the Battery for 15 - 30 minutes. Reconnect the Battery and take the car for another long-ish drive. It's always best to drive the cat as you would normally. But it really doen't hurt to drive "spirited", if you know what I mean B)

Done - ECU reset

So In short:

What I would do is take the car for a drive to get to ragging temp. Disconnect the Battery. Remove old air gubbins and replace with aftermarket jobbie. Reconnect the battery. Go ragging. Sorted  :D

Yep that right!

Ive got the Ram Air fitted to my G6R. Im happy with the results. The filter is still in good order

Ive taken the old filter box away fully now and i notice more poke from it in cooler temps and above 3500 revs
