i have 92 paseo and its running lean with a 5efhe using the stock 5efe throttle body, injectors, wiring harness, and ecu. any ideas what the problem is?

just cos i am a noob...

what type of engine is a 5efhe?

Posted

5E-FHE is the engine used in the Sera. it's basically a slightly higher powered version of the 5E-FE which most of the paseo's have !

5e-fe injectors are smaller than the injectors on a 5e-fhe, could be problem, why are you using 5e-fe throttle body, isn't 5e-fhe one better? the ecu's might be the problem aswell, woulda thought they'll be different aswell. how comes you've got this setup? different fuel map and *******

this is the setup i was told to use for the stock ecu i live in the states its not as easy to find a j-spec ecu and wiring harness intact. what octane do you guys run in them? what is the gap supposed to be on the plugs?

Posted

plug gap 1.1mm

maybe its something to do with the increased compression ratio in the 5EFHE over the 5EFE?

5EFHE injectors are 225cc, 5EFE injectors are 185 or 195cc.

I have some SERA ECU's available - 2 plug 5E-FHE type.
