Jim.. do you really want your MR2 to look like an 80's sports car.

I hate it.. I think the curved rear window on the MR2 is one of the most interesting features on the car... why cover it up??

You might as well pull your rear view mirror off also!

jim, there comes a point when you can 'do too much ' to a car .. and yours is definately hovering close to the border line..

i think the best thing you could do now is either up the power to 350-400bhp or get a supra TT for a new project

Looks intresting....definitly not uglybut Im still unsure, as you say it would be different which is cool. The BD4's MR2 in Aussie has one similar:

It's legal (you don't need a rear window).

And I was thinking of one too  but it'd need bodging around my scoops ..

Just a quick question but has anyone done this with a bit of glass?? You could keep the rear glass in behind the seats and then put the same shape as that cover over the back with glass and slats so you could see right into the engine bay. Not the blitz one mind. The same shape as that cover. That could be cool. Something for the custom boys to think about!!

I would consider it simply because not many people have one.

There's a very good reason for that, it looks dreadful.

You will spoil your car, spend the money on uprating the power output.

Should be legal, I think the law only requires that you have 2 fully functional rear view mirrors (ie the ones on your doors)... But should you get pulled, don't quote me.

Question is though, why...??
