Aux Input On Yaris Verso?

Hello everyone

I wonder if it's possible to connect an additional sound source to my Yaris Verso -00. When I bought it I didn't go for the optional MD player that would be placed under the driver's seat. Now I have bought a regular MP3 player (iRiver H120) and it has line output. I was hoping there's a way to connect it to my original Toyota stereo somehow. I don't have a cassette player so I can't use that kind of adapter unfortunately. I just have a single CD player.

Does anyone know if I can do this?

you best bet is an RF modulator

OR

look at the sticky thread at the top as well on the 'stealth' install, a special adaptor was used on that

Thanks för the response. I'll take a look if I can find that adapter where I live. Looks a bit pricey though <_<

I wonder if there's a way to trick the system... would it be possible to play a CD recorded only with silence and somehow feed the mp3 line output instead? I mean connecting the CD and mp3 to the same place. That way the stereo would think it's playing the CD but what I would be listening to would be my mp3 player, hehe. Is this maybe a crazy idea or could it work somehow, you think?

Personally, I would go with the RF modulator.

You just tune the radio to the frequency of the modulator and then you can listen to your music wherever the mp3 player is in the car. The really good this about this solution is that it will work no matter which car you're in.

Good luck,

Alan

Yes.. the RF modulator is the way to go with this one.. I have one (Kenwood 10 disc MP3 player) and it works a treat.

The downside can be a little hissing but thats just the same as listening to the radio when the station plays Dead Air.. if you know what mean... Go for a modulator :)
