No Alarm?

my dad has bought a g limited t bar on a L-plate with the late lights last week, but weve now found there seems to be no alarm on it????

the fob doesnt work and toyota want to charge him for reseting it which they said takes around an hour and will cost £25 per hour !!!!!! %$(in rip!!!!

any idea how to reset it or can they only do it?

A G-Ltd is a japanese import. As Bibbs said they don't normally have alarms (well Toyota didn't fit them as standard in Japan).

If it does have an alarm then it's going to be an added item. Find the main alarm control and horn in the engine bay and trace the wires. Often the reset switches are fitted in one of the bass speaker compartments behind the seats or up under the dash (usually on the drivers side).

No harm in taking it to your local Toyota if they are only charging £25/hour. Usually it's more like £50 or £60 per hour :ffs:

But a car audio/alarm specialist would be a better bet IMO.

so it must be bog standard, his old g limited had an aftermarket item on it but its a rev 1. Just werent too sure about this cos its a rev 3
