Cat Back Exhaust System For Sportivo (or T-sport!)

A big hi to all T-sport owners from down under

Firstly a T-sport in Australia is called a Corolla sportivo in case I refer to it by that name!

Now CES racing have just finished developing a cat back system with some very nice results and assuming the T-sport has no differences with Sportivo this may interest some of you so read on...

On a standard AUS spec car with no mods at all we picked up 9kw at the wheels with the power improving right the way through the rev range and a noticable increase in light throttle response as well as an increase in torque both on and off lift. On a modified car (TRD headers, TRD cold air intake and ITG filter) we gained just under 6kw at the wheels.

Standard car before 96kw atw and after 105kw atw.

Modified car before 111.5kw atw and after 117kw atw.

The system begins with a mild steel 3 bolt flange directly behind the cat and continues with 2.5 inch stainless steel maundrel bent pipe through a custom made 16" long resonator and flanges again in the same spot as the original system(mild steel 3 bolt flange) into a custom made oval shaped rear muffler with either a single or dual tips. It's been tested and complies with Australian noise levels and sounds great. No droning no cackle just a nice note that's not too loud in the car.

Costs are $960(aud) for the above system and add $100 for stainless flanges and about $70 for the dual tip option.
