Hi,

i'm thinking of part exchanging my 2003 Avensis t-Spirit for a NICE NEW Honda Accord ....im not happy with the new Avensis :crybaby: ...my older Face-lifted version avensis is far better, and the new avensis just feels like there is something missing from it....

....dont know which spec of the accord to get yet ,but might get the top of the range or sport, as there the best models & better looking ones....LET YOU KNOW HOW I GET ON!

Crikey I thought the facelift old shape Avensis were the worst built of the lot, but if you think the new shape one is even worse then Toyota really need to shape up, but it doesn't suprise me.

Yes the new Accord is about the best car in it's class at the moment, it's made properley in Japan now too. In the top gear reader survey out of 142 cars the lowest scoring Honda came 33rd which is very good really although the Japanese built Honda's in the survey came in even higher with cars like the S2000 coming 1st overall and the Jazz 4th.

Have you thought about a second hand Lexus GS300?

My Opinon is, that I Test Drove the 2.4 Executive Accord Auto before going for my 2.4 T-spirit, the Accord was a vary competent car, but what swayed me to the Avensis was firstly I found the mid-range acceleration much better on the Avensis (Maybe because of the direct injection engine) also I was getting a little more on the Avensis such as 17 inch alloys which was optional on the Accord and stuff like Interior and Perimeter alarm where as the Accord came with one not both and finally the Sound System in the Avensis was great. I knew before hand about the Avensis sound System being supposedly good and I did take a CD with me to try it out. I did the same for the accord (test drove both the cars on the same day) it sounded good too, but the Avensis was a little cut above. One good thing that came out off trying both cars is that when I mentioned to the Toyota dealer that the accord came with a CD-changer and Colour Sat-Nav, he gave me 40% off a Glove box 6 CD changer and upgraded Sat-Nav which was nice

You'll need an executive model to get anywhere near the T-Spirit spec. I looked at the accord before I got my T3-X, and the SE was nowhere near the same spec, the Sport was better with some extras here, but less there.

So move to the exectuvie spec and that is a lot of money.

Maybe Lexus would be a better move?
