I was hoping they'd last out til the new year but my rear tyres are seriously low on tread and I can feel them sliding a lot so I'm gonna replace them this week. I currently have 205/40 17" Nankang NS-1's on the front and Avon ZZ3's in the same size on the rear.

Firstly, is it best to get the same brand all round ie Nankang's? Also, should I stick with 205/40 17" on the rear or go for a wider size? Any advice appreciated :) .

Definatly go wider on the rear.... what width is the rim?? I'd recomend you stay with the same brand front to rear as they are designed to work together....

Cheap, cheap!! (If you can wait a week for delivery)

Toyo Proxes are nice, I have 4 on my Mk1 and they're very sticky!

If you have 7 inch rims, the widest I'd go for would be 225's.
