Hey guys, since my cat is "blowing" (its the only ting i can tink of dats causing the "struggle" when the turbo's kick in) ..... i thought i may aswell get a full decat done.... i have an apex exhaust and just one cat left (first one) ... if i get a full decat done, what would i need? i keep hearing things about restrictor rings etc.... so any sound advice is more then appreciated.....

the other cat just simple needs swappinng for another decat pipe.

On the J-Spec cars the wastegate isnt strong enough to cope without the cats being there thus without the cats the boost just goes off into oblivion and you hit fuel cut.

The restricter limits the amount of air going through which stops you overboosting on the turbos

A blowing CAT would not cause this problem.

:crybaby: thats what i keep thinking too.... i cant seem to figure out what else it would be, i mean, the turbo's sound fine, all the fluids are in good shape.... its just that when you put your foot down, you can hear "bubbling" noise from the center of the exhaust (near the cat) and the car just "hesitates" and dosnt move like it used to..... there are no fault codes given by ecu/mil .... :(
