yeah i looked at blitz and they wanted £15 for it but we found a pdf file on scoobynet for them just now tryin to set it up properly how is yours runnin 0.95 rubix mine fuel cuts at 0.92 so got it set for now at 0.85 but still alot quicker.

Mine I beleive is set to .95 and it boosts fine till around .98 (my car kinda over boosts). So i just lift of the throttle till its back down around .95 and it seems to pull more :)

well ive bin out tonight doin a bit of (road legal) testing just toying at 0.7 bar i set the unit recording so afterwards i could watch what she was doin, she boosted up to 0.76 and was pullin very hard in 3rd (gain 35)!!!!. im happy with the boost levels but unsure what the gains should be set at, the book says between 5 and 15! but it wont reach the set level of boost in the rev range on that. what sort of gain levels have you got yours set to rubix?

:unsure: Eh not really played with it due to a kinda lack of instructions....mine is a differrnt model to yours :)

oh right, my instructions say for a lower powered car the gain should be between 5 and 15 but if its there it runs out of revs just as it peaks on boost (no good to anyone) im tryin to play so that it peaks at 5k ish i think its goin to come down to trial error and prayin nothin blows lol :D

hello.can you tell me where you bought your blitz boost controller and how much you payed for it and also did you need a mechanic to install it

cheers

best place for a boost controller is eBay. cheap on there, i picked up my greddy one for under 200 quid on eBay.

and about the mechanic, if you know what your looking at ie, actuator, turbo. then it is easy took me about 45 mins to do it all. if your a bit clueless, then get someone else to do it.

cheers for the quick reply, i was just looking on eBay and there is a manual boost controller on there but its not digital, would these be any good?

harder to install, harder / more time consuming to tune and change settings, but serves the same purpose

beg to differ there mate.

manual boost controllers are a piece of ***** to install. takes about 5 mins if that.

but, they are not the most accurate are are prone to spiking the boost. and that isnt very good. the greddy ones are good. so are the turbosmart ones, but appart from those 2, steer clear.

id get a electric one. as you can change the boost in the car. and it is alot more accurate. coz if it does spike, the solenoid closes and corrects itself before you even notice it. and you get 2 modes, so you dont have to run about in hi boost and waste petrol when you dont need to.

personally, id recommend the greddy profec b II. it is great, cheap and easy to use.

I got my greddy one on eBay too, must be the same as urs Rick, but i really need someone to fit it for me and also need to know how much to set it as.

next time your up my way i could fit it for ya if you like?

the profec bII i had. very good boost controller. i had it set to about 24% this gives roughly 10 psi.
