Is that in your T-Spirit? Why is it like that? Is it normal for oil to look like that? If you are sticking to the service intervals correctly then on a new car you shouldn't have any worries about the oil. OK, I know some drivers like to do an oil change in between recommended intervals, but I don't think it is really necessary.

Just my thoughts!

Get a proper Toyota Oil filter suprisingly in most cases there cheaper than after market ones and I've heard have some sort of anti-return valve in them which aftermarket ones don't.

As regards the oil itself the 1.8 VVTi are very selective due to the excess oil burning issue so it's possible that the 2.0's could suffer the same weakness although as yet I dont think anyone has reported a problem, but its worth thinking about. I think one of the Castrols and Mobil 1 was found to burn the most if the engine ends up suffering from the problem, there was another post put up on here somewhere with a few different ones mentioned and which seemed to be the worst at it, if I remember Shell Helix was found to be quite safe in them.
