My rev 2 LSD gearbox has a slight whine in 2nd gear only. The gear changes are all smooth. Should i be worried?

Cheers

My uk, rev2 whines a bit (150k miles, original box so I'm not complaining) just remember the gearbox is right behind you, so the slightest noise seems lounder!!!

I'd not worry, maybe change the oil in there

Souldn't be a problem as Karma Supra says everything seems louder as it's right behind you!

Yea mines whines on a slow downshift to 2nd gear..when your "feeling" the gear in..its quiet tho passengeres wouldnt notice it...the whine sound I can only describe as the same whine when a bus downshifts but much quieter. Not much to worry about...get Redline MT-90 gearbox oil. Tis the best for mk2 mr2s.
