What Is A Good 4age Engine Worth?

any ideas?i am gonna break up my gti soon,and want to know what a 4age engine with box,loom and ecu is worth?

Don't really know what they are worth but i know they've become very popular with specials and kit cars. So if it's a good'un it will sell.

Considering Fensport do low mileage imports for £400ish, i'd say it's probably worth between £100 and £200 if it's got around 100k on it.

Dawesy was that for just the block and gearbox or including the wiring loom and ECU? Thats a lot of money!

My initial thoughts would be around 150 to 200 for the block and gearbox with possibly another 150 for the ECU and loom.

Suppose it comes down to how willing the buyer is.

I've got one as well if anyone want's it. Comes with the gearbox, which was reconditioned 2 years ago, and all other parts. Will discount the price if they take it out themselves.

That is a good price i have just sold my engine and box for 190 going to Ireland, was thinking of pricing the ECU and loom at 150. What do you think?

The guy was very keen, made me think i had advertised it too cheap!
