Just phoned up my insurance company and told them about all my mods and my insurance has went up by £60 which is pretty good imo!

I thought they were gonna up it by silly amounts!

So I'm a happy chappy 2day! :D

P.S. I'm with Norwich Union!

Cool... they any good? They gave me a good quote I just wasn't sure about their modding friendlyness.

Dont suppose you know about their 9month accelerator for NCB.

Suppose they are pretty good mate cos my policy is £600 any driver but my mum is the named driver. And the accelerator thing is, I'd guess, exactly what it says it is!

I've heard some companies not accepting the accelerator thingies because they're not actually 1 year...

If you swap from Elephant to say Tesco...

Really? Lame.

Well I will most likly go with Elephant, and stick with them for long time. Cause I have heard excellent MOD friendly. Most of the time they dont add anything, they just like to be kept upto date.

Tesco... dont talk about them, was with them once. Im with Churchill at the moment, due for a change in May, so will change company, set myself up for the Yaris and then hit the road :)

To be honest, its got pretty much nothing to do with the speed of the car at such an early age. You could have a 1l or a 1.5l T-Sport and I bet you there would be only a £100 in it. As long as the car is under group 10 it doesnt matter if its a 600cc mini or a 2.0L Audi (if there is one under group 10 - lol) the insurance would be similar.

That's what I found when hunting around for my second car which I was gonna be the primary named driver on. Oh, add ur mum as second driver, it brings it down a few hundred!

wow... UK car insurance in complicated... :)

I pay around £800 for my TS and I can do any mods I want... :)

The insurance cost is based on the size and weight of the car (the damage it can cause) but not on the power of the engine...

Yeh noticed that. My insurance has been...

VW Polo 1.0

£1200 while learning

£900 after Pass Plus

£500 roughly once I have 1yr NCB

T-Sport will be roughly £800-£900 with 2yr NCB.

I havn't tried yet with Churchill MODs, but I have heard not very pleasant, unless your 21 or over.
