All-new Yaris Vitz

Sorry about the bad scan but better than nothing!

This is the all new Vitz. Its out in Japan this January. Its 110mm longer and 35mm wider. It has a greater luggae space and is now 274litres.

Now the fun bits.

1.0 Litre 71BHP

1.3 Litre 87BHP

1.5 Litre 110BHP

1.4 Diesel

Also plans for the 1.8 Turbo performance car with 6 Speed Gear Box, Sports Suspension and its coming to Europe (but... UK? I dont really consider us part of Europe but maybe folks maybe!).

Heres some quotage:

Its christened the Vitz in Japan, where it hits showrooms in Jan, thiese exclusive shots show how the flagship model will look. Note the the supermini now gets a slight bump behind it, as seen on the Avensis. Plus theres more than a touch of Audi, VW and Rover V8 about that grill

The front does look rather low, round and mean like the front of the Audi A3 Sportback. It has major styling influences from Avensis and Corolla. It still looks very Yaris from behind, with just different shaped lights. The front is whats very different.

I want to see the performance figures, the price figures and the Insurance groups. Yum, better be at the Motor Show, or a Motor Show I can get too soon. Looks damn sexy in black.

Thats my bit done for the community. Now pay me!!! £££

WOW! That looks aggressive. Wouldn't like that front end shoved in my rear view - eek!

Very nice, I think its an improvement - unlike most new cars.

Seen this today in the shop whilst browsing!

I think it looks great but remember this is the Vitz RS (t sport) so i wouldnt expect a 1.0 to have them bumpers/wheels etc

Yea, and that photo is such forced perspective, expect it to look a lot taller and cuter than the pics elude...

That looks really good! I would totally get one especially if they did bring out a 1.8l 4WD turbo charged version!!

Good stuff!

I like it, cause I like the Corolla, and I like the Yaris, also my mum has the Audi A3 Sportback, and the front of that Vitz and the Audi look pretty similar, that big rounded smooth front.

4WD 1.8 Turbo thou, I'd seriously consider waiting another year so I have 3yrs NCB and buy that and miss the T-Sport. All depends I guess.

11 Colours lined up as well. So plenty to pick from.

I think the following is needed:

*chant* Bring the 1.8 4WD Beast to England... to England *chant*

Dont you agree?

:drool::drool::drool:

oh i definately like that... anyone got better quality interior pics?

i'd definately be interested in one of them when they're available to import from japan.

1.8 turbo??!?!?!!?!? thats gonna kick ***** if it does come out!

hmm

1.5 = 110BHP

1.8 turbo = ?? :D

i mean the 1.5 turbo is listed as 150bhp... that would make the 1.8 ...errr... enough! :D :D :D

very nice indeed. glad to know that none of those previous pics we had seen came through, most of them werent much to look at.

this i like however  cheers mate for the info!

auto is definately the better option here in malta! no motorways or long roads! definately makes more sense to have auto here.

A 4wd version wouldn't be all that good, it'd make the car too heavy. If it was a turbo charged 1.8 though it might cover ground at a fairly rapid rate! :D

A 1.8 turbo charged Front wheel drive would be better i think, if it was pushing no more than 200BHP then it would be a serious challenge for the Civic Type-R and Cooper-S with the lack of weight the Yaris has!

Yes but remember the Autoexpress is a picture of the top of the range, sporting model with alloys and what looks like a body kit. So remember to compare it to a fully loaded T Sport not a cooking T2 - the base models will not be so slick.

Nice car all the same but I'll reserve judgment until I see more pics!

Glad you enjoyed this topic.

I think it looks quite nice with 5 doors. What I want to know and do are:

1.) Final specs of each model they are going to release, including BHP and 0-60.

2.) Prices.

3.) If the UK is getting the turbo.

4.) How much insurance will be on the turbo for me, then I will try and get it for my 20th birthday in like 2 yrs.

5.) What the 11 colour varietys are... o0O0o0oO

Also wanna see it in the flesh and have a gandor at it. If I bought one, I wouldn't modify it, would love everymoment of it. Perhaps eventually do some new wheels and exhaust, but not too much so I can return it to standard.

That car is the dogs <if my vocabulary was any smaller, it would be nearly as small as my genitals>. I want specs and prices!! :(

It does look quite aggressive.. u can tell that the front bumper and frill still looks like a yaris but the side looks like a corolla.. i would be interested with the 1.8 version... if only it's cheap with the insurance!

Does anyone know that when is it comming out?
