New Avensis Owner

Hi,

i have just registered on this forum to ask a question about my avensis.....

I have bought a 2001 Avensis 2.0 VVT-i CDX which comes with the SAT NAV.

I got every thing with the car but my friend says that the sat nav/ radio/cd unit also comes a remote control like the Lexus IS200, is this true?

I don't think the facelift old shape Avensis' did come with them, the new shape Avensis does on decent spec models, and the pre-facelift old shape Avensis with double-din Sony Stereo's like mine came with the stalk type remote.

The 'remote control' you speak of should be on the steering wheel in the form of 5 buttons. There's no facility for a 'TV' type of remote control that I'm aware of.

Right my dad in law has a 2.0cdx and does not have a remote like that it shows it in the user manual but not for the UK market
