hey, i recently brought a 1986 aw11 MR2, when taking it on the freeway this alarm starts going off when it hits bout 103 km/hr.

Does anyone know how to disable this dam alarm as it is ****** me off!!!!

I dont know if it came stock or it got put in afterwards but i need a hand please!!

sounds like something aftermarket to me..

the only time I have heard of that is Dubai - where they have to have warning buzzers fitted that go off when you exceed the maximum speed limit..

How does that work though? obviously speed limit varies on the type of road?

No, its the Dubai law, all cars sold must sound a buzzer when the car exceeds 110km/h - which is the maximum speed in the country..

find where noise comes from and cut buzzer out of circuit?

Yea me and a friend are trying to find where the dam buzzer would be, but we cant see nothing, any sugestions where someone would put something stupid like this?

Two of the guys at my regions club have speed chimes on their Mk1s, ones in an SC and the others a Mk1 tin top, it was a standard fixture on the Jap MK1 I believe.

I seem to remember a post on MR2OC.com on it, back in half a tick!
