Hi,

The other night i was going down a dual carriageway, and suddenly my engine light just decided to pop on  I dont think its my induction kit as i had that problem before and ive had the induction kit on since february with no problems. Has anyone got any ideas what i should do and what might cure this problem?

Cheers :help:

Tom!!

I thought wet filter designs would get oil on some sort of sensor or similar. This would cause incorrect readings and an engine light. If its a dry filter design then its prolly not that.

It could be absolutely anything from a minor fault like a dirty sencor to a major problem... like u don't want to know.

Take to a garage and put it on a code reader... wont cost much just to diagnose it... they will soon tell u wat the problem is :)

Ah, its a blitz induction kit you have. I'm pretty sure they are wet filter and have heard of this problem with the, before. Sorry if I'm wrong!

yes mate my previous car had this problem with the blitz kit, but since i changed my car and Jaxx suggested a way of how to fit the kit without the light coming on the car has been fine, and that was back in february, so it just seems strage to me that its decided to come on now all of a sudden, i think ill just put the standard box back on, and see if this cures the problem.

Thanks for your input though SOcks

Tom

Yer, but over time u get oil on a sensor of some sort. changing it back to the box won't remove the oil... so it should still stay on. get it fixed, sell up and get an apex'i :)
