Ae86 Sills

Can Anyone help, am looking to get a driver side sill for an AE86 Corolla Gt Coupe.

Or does anyone know of any similar sills that would suit the Corolla?

I take it you got a bit of rot to remove then! Im not sure if many panel places would even know what a AE86 was let alone make repair panels for them! Damn shame really!

Luckly my dads an engineer and fabricator who can make any repair sections for my '86!

Have you tried a Toyota Dealer?

I know price might be bad but it is only a sill (and not something like a front wing) so price could be acceptable amount.

If it is for your car and you quote your cars chassis number to the parts chappy you may suprised what is still available.

Despite the myth/rumours that the !Removed! get rid of cars after 4years etc.. A 'decent' Toyota dealer/ spares departement will still be able to get most genuine parts for older Toyota cars (20+ years)

I cut up a set of mk2 fiesta sills for repair sections for the 86 Twink that i had..

They are like gold dust over here tho think Toyota will order them in for you but they are expensive like.

Will KE70 sills fit? I am after some AE86 sills. I know AE80 sills will not fit but isn't the KE70 from the same family as AE86?

This is a good point, but knowing Toyota theres bound to be some tiny diference. Also aren't KE70 sills going to be as difficult to obtain as AE86 sills due to the 'age' of KE70'S?

I would assume that there where far more KE70's sold in the UK than AE86's.

So it's more likely that you can get hold of pattern KE70 sills.

The search has continued for an AE86 sill however Toyota have discontinued the sills for an AE86 so still at a dead end. Few classic parts places iv tried do not have AE86 sills listed!

If anyone comes across a similar sill that can be modified slightly to fit lets us know.
