Whats the quickest mod to increase BHP, short of strapping a turbo on!

Something reasonably priced.

I was thinking about a pipercross viper induction kit but its £200+

Has anyone fitted one of these to there 2 and got much result. Also

wondered if its worth the extra pennies over a standard or vector. or a k&n.

It'd look cool under the cover thats for sure. especially under a scoop i think.

induction kit , racing exhaust with decat also running on super unleaded will help lots.

anything but the viper kit!! such a waste of money!

...have to agree! Stick with the K&N.

4 branch tubular manifold, decent exhaust & a superchip.

Should see you with a decent 40-45bhp increase.

Doesn't the NA have a tubular manifold as standard?

Superchip claims 8 hp, an exhaust with decat will probably give you another 5-10 hp, so expect about 15 hp increase.

Yeah 15bhp is a lot more realistic on an N/A with those mods. Exhausts and induction kits don't add as much power as people think. Don't forget the all important torque which is what you want for acceleration. Bhp is more for top end.

Thats wot i thought. it is an n/a and dint think chips had that much influence on n/a. They claim 15% more torque though and it is bottom end im more bothered about. There so expensive though.

Cheers guys.

n/a's are funny beasts, rolling road last weekend saw 2 rev5s go on the rollers. Before they went on us turbo boys were saying the road must be under reading as well all got about 200 230bhp (rev1&2), 240 -270bhp rev3+), a rev 5 3sge N/A NOT beams made 191bhp with a mongoose no decat and apexi filter, then his mate with a rev 5 k&n and mongoose without decat made 180 bhp.. i honestly think some n/as are just better than others.. but they are capable of making good power! Guy that made the 191bhp also had has a mk3 and had had that unichipped and was saying the difference to the way it drove was amazing, different car, he was planning on promptly getting his rev5 sw20 unichipped as garage thought going on his 191 with just exhaust and filter it would easy see 205bhp
