Squealing Noise When Turning Right

Hi

I got a bit of a stange problem with my MR2, there’s a squealing bearings type noise when I turn right. Stangely it only happens when the car is warmed up and only when turning right. The noise seems to come from the rear drivers side.

Has anyone had this problem before and is it easily (and cheaply) fixable.

Cheers

Johnny

for some very odd reason my alternator belt sometimes does this, i find its the precursor to it squeeling every time you start the car up..

Yeah, I would guess its the alternator belt. As you turn it puts more load on the power steering pump so it draws more current, this might make the alternator belt slip if its loose.
