you should get black diamond if you can, i had them on my last twin and they were HEAVEY, serious at any speeds they would just stop without any friction jumping.

www.proven-products.co.uk

and they got em on sale

only 79.99

worth around 150.00

You need to be careful buying discs for the AE92. Toyota fitted 2 different sized discs so make sure you get the right ones.

I beleive I have a late spec GTi (non-tvis). Fensport say the size of the discs are 258 x 22mm.

Corolla_Gti-r: Which pads would you recommend for the black diamond discs? I have found the site you mentioned. Cheers for the heads up!

Thanks,

ICE

EDIT: Proven products only have the older smaller discs on special. Wouldn't fit my late spec :(

Would still like to know which pads though

Proven-products are recommending the "Formula kevlar sport pads" for the AE92 Gti 16V.

Never heard of them... has anyone else?

Thanks,

The discs are 238x18mm on the TVIS version (early spec) and 258x22mm on the NON-TVIS version (late spec).

I went with Brembo 10 groove front discs from http://www.apexperformance.co.uk/

They cost about £120, but you know you're getting quality with that name.

I also got Mintex 1144 pads to go with them. The stopping power was amazing.

They cater for Nissans mainly but that doiesn't matter. Your best bet would be to call them on 01274617555

As stated above, don't get drilled discs as they'll crack in no time at all.

Have plumped with Black Diamond drilled & grooved from fensport and the formula kevlar pads. Should be fitting this weekend. Wish me luck!

Not in the case of the AE92. The stock brakes are really poor. You really notice how bad they are after upgrading :D

But then again it depends on what you used to and your driving style... :P

I never had a problem with EBC, but then again I have never had twin tubby power to bring to an abrupt stop either :P
