:D I get my '2 back tommorrow after 3 weeks of it being layed up.

It turns out the coil, Distributor and some of the wiring was at fault :ffs:

congrats mate, was it urs that wouldnt start and know1 knew why?

has it been with toyota all this time?..must hav been expensive for labour charges? :blink:

erm..... be prepaired for a mega mad invoice mate !!

yep, I've already bought the distributor from them. So that leaves the coil (£85)and labour <_<

Hehe just got my car back :D

They spent 24.5 hours on it, most of this was testing and diagnostics.

So: 24.5 hours labour x £50 per hour = £1225 + £85 coil pack = 1310 + 17.5%VAT = £1539.25 :( and I already had the dizzy (£350)

But they said that it would be unfair to charge me that, it was too much, so they charged me 4 hours labour instead :D :thumbsup: The bill came to around £315 :D

Now personally I think thats a bargain. The young mechanic (24) worked his ar5e off and got quite upset each time after a new idea failed

They would never have got away with charging you for 24 hrs of labour on that job. They should only charge you for reasonable time for diagnosing the problem, and the actual time taken to fit new parts.
