Hi Gooner

Personally i like to wait till i have covered at least 1000 miles before i start ragging my car's. I like to see that they have covered a few miles before i open them up  But at the end of the day it's up to you matey ;)

I would agree with that 1000 miles is better, some say you dont need to run em in anymore, I would at least get 500 on clock before opening it up, but if you can wait till 1000 it would be better.

My last car was new and I waited till around 800 to open it up, my Tsport was 6 months old so was nicely run in :D

It is tempting, but I was told to give it a good 800 miles before I hit six thou revs. I think it was 754 in mine actually, but who's counting ? :P

Honestly, just drive it like a nun for a few weeks. It makes that first lift experience all the more better.

to be honest with everyone i picked the cts because i really have not had very many sporty cars the exception being a pretty fast mk2 escort back in the day. since starting to read these forums while waiting for my new motor i am slowly turning into a proper petrol head again... just hope i'm not disappointed :D
