Radiator Fan Not Kicking In

Hello All.

Opened up the bonnet on my 98 Corolla 1.6 gs this morning when i heard a sort of squeeky noise coming from within seems to be the belt pulleys and quietens down considerably when been running for a while. It isnt that sort of loud screeching loose belt noise though .any info much appreciated.

Anyway here is the main reason for this post . I noticed that as the engine nice and warm and the fan kicks in , the one at the rear of the radiator kicked in as normal ,but the one on the front didnt ,is there some sort of delay built in or is there a problem ?

Thanks in advance for any help .

Regards Albi

sounds like your alternator belt is slack there . i think the second fan kicks in when its really hot , but dont hold me to that .
