Having picked up my MR2 Saturday I have realised that the original 13 year old stereo really isn't up to it these days! Not only do I not own any tapes, but the the front speaker crackles too. So I need you help!

What size Speakers can I fit in the front doors, and where are all the other Speakers!!! I'm sure I heard some behind me! I want to keep everything hidden away and protected from those prying eyes!

I'm also looking to upgrade the stereo, what does everyone think of the

Becker: BEC-MONZA7885

I want to go for a subtle look, keeping things blue black and aluminium!

Thanks

Steve

There are a few setups in the MR2 ..

Usually there is a tweeter in the mirror, mids in the seatbelt area, and bigger mids in the doors. Then a sub in each box behind the seats.

8 Speakers in total.

I'd suggest stripping the lot and just using good door components and a good sub.

You can fit 6.5" in the doors (may need spacers) and I've got a 10" sub behind the passenger seat (12" under the front bonnet tonight).

Sounds a load nicer then stock.

CD looks nice .. but I'm a double din man myself (pic of my dash in my garage).

I thought the stock stereo was really good in my mr2!!! (well stock Speakers...)

mines knackered now.. the subs hardly ever worrk, the left had speaker either buzzes or turns off al together.. and the balance is funny :'(
