Replacing Rack And Pinion In 93 Paseo?

hey guys, I'm helping a friend fix his 1993 Toyota Paseo and he needs the rack and pinion replaced.

So far what he have done is got the rack and pinion in easy movement and everything is disconnected but we are unable to take it out.

We dropped the transmission a bit but it's not helping.

We attempted to take out the passanger drive shaft but for some reason it won't come out from the transmission. The Drive shaft needs to be replaced regardless anyways.

Any advice on how to take out the passanger drive shaft? and removal of the rack and pinion unit?

I tried searching but what is the engine code for the paseo? also does anybody have links to turbo charging a paseo?
