Yet Another Ae82 Gt!

Well as some of you might know, that i have recently sold my White AE82 GT to 'JT' due to funds were running low for my AE86! But i wasnt too sad to see her go because i still had my mums old '82 GT to drive around in!

But just today i couldnt help myself from buying yet another White '82 GT!!

Saw it on eBay, and discovered it was only a few miles down the road from me!

I went and looked at it and i made my mind up there and then i was having it! So the seller ended the auction early!

Ive decided to split it(shame really) but mine is more solid underneath! And thats more important to me than cosmetics! But the new one has alot of very good body panels which will go onto mine, and it also has new discs and pads all round, and new h/brake cables! Bonus! :)

Oh and just by absolute fluke, on the way home after collecting the GT i saw a Black AE82 GT parked up! Very rare and very clean example! Just aswell i left a note on his windscreen then, asking if he wants to sell it! Hope for a phone call soon! :)

Have a look at the MR2DC website there's a Mk1 tintop, as an unfinished project, for sale if you fancy playing about with that kinda thing. He wants £450 for it but you should be able to knock it down some!

I know what you mean about a so called decent one! I went and had a look at a Black AE92 last w/end for £500 and the bloke said it was one of the best hes seen!

Well if thats one of the best ones hes seen i would love to see the worst! haha!

!Removed! wasters! Not even the engine was any good! He said it had around 100k on it! Try 210,000! Talk about a rattly engine! Sounded like a Ford CVH!

I wouldn't mind a real GOOD black AE82 but it has to be a 86 model with that stripey interior and the big sticker along the top of the tailgate - only black ones come with that..

Had plans to restore my AE86 that i have but unfortunately now i may have to sell it as its taking up space and i still have 2 Impreza STi' s, the NSX a Civic VTi and hopefully a Supra TT to sell....

Sorry mate, my mate who has a AE86 and also a AE82 has already had both front wings! Hes been after a good pair 4ages! <<<< Look at that, if you write 4ages in txt style it looks like 4AGE!!! AWESOME! hahaha! (i no im sad!)

Ah you mean the limited edition version AE82 then! Ive never been to keen on the sticker under the rear window tho! Proper 80's look! hehe!

I cant belive your gonna sell the '86 already! What a shame! Ive got an idea tho! What if you sell the STi's, Civic VTi and supra, put all the money from them into the AE86 and turn it into the most awesome drifter around, maybe with a Turbo charged 20valve under the bonnet!

And keep the NSX as your daily driver! Thats what i wud do anyway! :) :D

Anyway the NSX as a daily driver - Good idea if i was on my tod but have a wifey and a baby girl.... 2 seater - a big no no..!! :D

My AE86 is a C reg Facelift in Black (has the glassGrille/Elec Sunroof) its a str8 honest car - previous owner has gone over the arches/sunroof with some kind of rustproof stuff so they could do with tidying but looks very presentable - No holes or anything - has the full bodykit on it and the plastic wheel arches, 14" MultiSpoke alloys...

drives very well and is a totally standard unmodified car - I had her mot'd and have had the radiator recon'd. As i'm writing this i seriously am having 2nd doubts about selling her especially as it took me ages finding one...

If i sell one of the other cars pretty soon then the '86 is off the market and i'm gonna do something special with it along the lines of what Rob has suggested..!

Ah i see your problem, need more than a 2 seater! Hows about keeping the AE86 for your family car! Them back seats are great for kids, there like a little bucket seat the way that they dip down in the base!

Your '86 sounds identical to mine, apart from mine a 'D' plate! Dont sell her, you will regret it as soon as she goes off driving down the road with a new owner behind the wheel!

I no i did when i sold my first one! Thats one thing, if i could turn back time, i would of never sold it! Plus at the time i dont think there was such a big craze for them, i was only 17 when i sold it! 4 years ago! What a stupid kid i was! hehe! Only sold it for £1250, which i thought was alot at the time, especially because i only bought it for £600!!!!

I'll put up a piccy of her! She was a minter! Only had 63k on the clock when i sold her!

10 years ago a friend of mine had a 'B' reg example the same colour scheme as this (it would only be 10 years old) and 42,000 genuine miles. He offered it for sale for ...£800 (he was getting married) and all of us couldn't make our minds up (a lot just considered it to be another 'old' Corolla at the time :o )!

See i can feel that you dont want to sell it, your starting to reminisce over the others youve had! If you sell it, im going to have to kick your bottom! haha! We need more '86's in this country, and if you sell it you know an Irish man would have it and probably end up looking like this! :o
