Coolant Change

Can anyone please tell me how to change the coolant on a yaris 2000 1300 cdi auto as i have just had a service done and they want £115 to change coolant and brake fluid,i think i could probably do this myself?

Coolant's easy... it tell's you what to use and how to change it in your Handbook. I'm not sure on brake fluid, but im pretty sure it can be a buggah!

Brakes are going to save your life, so if you get the pressure wrong or anything like that... you could be up a pretty nasty creek and you ain't going to have a paddle!!

Somebody more knowledgable than me can advise you on brake fluid though!

keep on topping the brake fluid up as you bleed the brakes , eventually when you have used out of the bottle , whats meant to be in the car you know you have changed it all.

to change the coolant there should be a drain plug on the radiator on one of the bottom corners , empty the rad , run the car for 30 seconds and the rest will be pumped out for you. tighten up the drain plug refill using toyotas red for life. personnally i think you should just top up both of these fluids levels as changing it all is a complete waste of time and money.

getrid of all the brake fluid, carefull with it its very nasty stuff....... top it back up and blead the brake lines (both circuits) dont know how to do it on a yaris mind? never looked at it?
