Depending on the width...

7J = 215/40/17 Front & 225/40/17 rear

8J = 215/40/17 Front & 235/40/17 rear

Go 18's mate, there's no arch space and no problems in getting them fitted! You'll be happier with the look of them!

Cheers :thumbsup:

Oh, and if your feeling rich go BLITZ!!

18's sound cool but what boots sizes would I need for them?

Here's a fantastic site for info on tyre and wheel sizes Wheel & Tyre info

For 17s I thought the correct tyre sizes would be:

205/40/17's Front

245/35/17's Rear

For 8 J's, this would keep the rolling radius spot on.

I'm running 205/40's all round :blink: . No wonder my back end tends to stray.

205 on the back :o :o even as standard they had 215 on the back!

18x8 wheels on mine were booted up with 215/35/18 front and 255/35/18 rears. worked well and looked nice.

I would say go for 17s.

They look just about right IMO and even on 17s the MR2 can become a bit tricky to place at times.

I would imagine 18s to be a bit of a nightmare during certain types of driving!
