Hi Jaysback

I have a 2001 GLS Previa and have been looking for the same side repeaters and LED lights as you mentioned. Could you let me have some info on where to get these and any fitting tips you can pass on.

Thanx

hi elvey.

the people you want to talk too are.

http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/

these are the ones i use.

As soon as i get some pics uploaded to my new webspace i will post pics up.

As for fitting the front lamps are a pain for leds as they fit in sideways so at the mo i have normal lamps in there.

The boot i managed to fit the 36-39mm and that worked a treat but have a measure to make shure.

The other interior lamps need to be prized of with a screw driver and some grunt. they are a bit of a pig as the whole fitting is only attached to the head lining. Getting the actual bulbs out proved to be a complete nightmare on a couple of them and had to break the lamp and remove left overs with some long nose pliers.

Well worth the effort though.

i used the 501's with white outer and a single blue in the middle.

if you want i can mail you some pics?

cheers

ooooh, Kenstyles, ive seen those before, the ISM-L has got to be my fav.

Jay, have you tried asking if they will export etc, i have, never got a reply.

yeh.

i tried, but got no response the same as you.

i think the best way to do it would be:-

speak to local jap importer.

offer them a bit of cash in the hand.

get their buyer in japan to source items.

stick them in the back of what ever is coming over avoiding paying tax on items as they would be part of the cost of the original vehicle (or thats what you would want them to believe)

all i need is the 3K it would cost to buy all the stuff :(

ive know someone who may be able to help, Shin at prospec, he dabbles with the R34 and often bring loadsa stuff over in containers. hmmmmmm, i feel the need for a larger lotto win.

the last site was a god send to me

hope this helps others

Hi there - I was interested to see some of those modded Estimas on those links - I have got a 2002 ACR30w on its way over from Japan at the mo, but I saved on the hassle of trying to import bodykits by buying a car with one already fitted! Mind you, my insurance company thought it eas funny having a MPV with bodymods!

sounds nice.

did you get the aeres version?

if you dont mind me asking what sort of money are you saving by getting it brought in.

the only ones imports i have seen going over here on the new shape have cost just as much if not a little more than u.k. sourced ones?

if its o.k. could P11GT forward those pics onto me as he already has my email.

or you could post them up ;)

good luck with it

Hi guys

I can't fathom how to get pics uploaded onto the site at the mo (any hints welcome!) but heres a link to my Blueyonder photos page

Give it a go if you want to see our new Toy ('scuse the pun!)

Costs wise, once I've got all the tech & legal stuff sorted this end, it should stand me in around the 13k mark, having done just over 9000 miles and in grade 4.5 condition - with similar age and condition Previas over here averaging about 16k I should save a decent amount. The bonus of course being I don't need to import the bodykit & other extras too. If you have any probs with the link let me know & I'll e-mail some shots to you. Car is due to arrive June 28th - I can't wait!

looks very nice.

have you done much importing b4 or is this a new thing for you?

just wondering how easy you have found it so far?

we previously had a legnum (jap import galant) but that was from a dealer, so did'nt make the savings you are :(

No it's all a new experience for me - so far (touch wood) things are all going smoothly! Biggest problem I've had so far was my bank "lost" my nine and a half grand FOB payment for a few days!!!!!! I am expecting a few hold ups once it arrives here, with the SVA etc., not for any particular reason other than sods law!

You need plenty of patience too cos its a bit of a lengthy process - I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive! :)
