Rolling Noise

Hi - does anyone know what the layout under the dashboard of a 2003 Yaris is like? I have started to hear a noise like a ball-bearing rolling from side to side and front to back as the car moves around. It is driving me mad as I can't imagine where it is coming from. Has something dropped into the heating tubes? Are they that sort of shape? Are there any other cavities under the dash where something might have got stuck? Any help gratefully received.

It might seem obvious but have you checked to see if you have left something in the storage area under the steering column or in any of the cubby holes?

Yeah - that was my first thoght but I've checked that. It really sounds like its coming out of the cooling vents. Maybe there's a long run from side to side under the dash. Trouble is it's a right b****r to see in there!
