How To Use The Engine Disableing?

I’m planning on fitting an aftermarket car alarm & my car doesn’t have the stock immobilizer.

Alarm manual says to cut the + wire to the ignition coil for engine disabling.. now all that is good except yaris/vitz don’t have a central ignition coil. so how can I get this thing to disable the engine?

Any suggestions :help:

are you sure thats not the ignition switch??

as the ignition coil would be a little toooo high tensile for an alarm

and no it doesnt have one to start with

what I meant was the + that goes TO the coil, NOT the HT output of the coil to the ignitors (hmmm now thats an interesting idea... imagine some one trying to steal the car & somehow gets it started... BOOOM :lol: )

how does the power to fuel pump or EFI relay sound... any after effects of killing power to these???

fuel pump would work. tried to start my car the other day. after 5 attemps we relised that we'd taken the fule pump fuse out ages ago. pluged it back in and she started like a bute!

the posi wire to the fule pump should be a red one with a green stripe located under the rear seat.
