Alpine Hu Installation

HI, I just got my new Alpine 9835 this mornin. But looking at the manual and amount of wires, im a bit lost .

I guess that all the coloured wires connect straight to the wires that used to connect to the tape deck?

Also, do i need to connect the yellow (battery) wire all the way to the Battery, or is there a power cable already in the Yaris?

there is already 2 power supply at the back of the old unit, one is live, the other is ing.

use a multimeter, cos I cant remember the colours

no need to go directly to the Battery

hi,you will need to connect the yellow wire direct to the Battery the reason being is that the headunit draws alot of power which can only be fulfilled by the Battery.i have an alpine in my car but connected it to the power wire behind the dash.i was experiencing when i put the volume high that the interior light kept dimming also your headlights.I have connected it direct to the Battery as it says in the manual and believe me its a big difference everything is working perfect no dimming lights.
