After the engine is hot, when turn off i can hear ocassional water goggling sound for a couple of minutes. is this normal? (it's a rev2 turbo)

It happens on all twos, in fact it does it on all cars that use the expansion tank system. When the engine is hot there isn't always room for the expanded fluids/gases in the cooling system. The steam or expanded hot gases collect under the pressure cap and when you switch off you can hear the gases passing through the pipe into the coolant header tank, where the end of the pipe should be below the coolant, this makes the glug glug sounds. As the engine cools it draws coolant back along the pipe into the cooling system keeping the level correct.

ahhh thank god for that

i heard that in my car when i first got it, assumed it was the expansion tank though, just not used to hearing it in front engined cars
