Yaris: Chav Car?

Still too expensive for the average chav and seeing as chav’s aren’t the brightest stars in the sky, I don’t think they realise how good they are. I think novas for the dole scroungers, saxos and 106’s for ones with a bit more cash......... hopefully!

lol don't delude yourselves, of course it is/will be a chav car

it's a 1.0 / 1.3 so young people will be able to insure them, they're already dropping to £3-4k

and there's already some 'chavvy' yarii, even on TOC.

Ha metro.

I see alot of 206 around.

This is something I am proud of:

In Bristol/Bath where I live I have NEVER seen a modifed Yaris in any shape or form. Their are NONE on the Max Power site, or in the forums.

I rarly even see a T-Sport Yaris, never even seen a Yaris T-Sport Phase 2 on the roads around here.

That is rare, that is what I love. I mean yeah I see The 1.0 and 1.3 but thats about it.

Rare, Japanese, no Chav, good performance, excellent cars.

Just what I want.

We got quite a few modded Vitz over here, some are sweet as, a few OTT, but most of them have been imported from Japan in their modded state. Wish i could try to organise a meet over here for the Vitz owners, but i don't think i'd get very far! Will try to nab some piccies on my mobile next time i see some of them

its bound to happen with any car! as soon as it gets cheaper. itll happen....i member when everyone that drove a beema 3 series was like 30 +, where i live most teenagers have a 3 series beema...Theres only 3 t-sports i seen so far. the one i own, one on my mates road and a gold T-sport with a carbon bonnet, torque rims, lexus rears, booster spoiler and it does look tasty, no one so far has done a chav stylee ride here yet....

Apart from on this site, iv never seen a modified Yaris! It's not chav yet, but unfortunatley, as this country slips down a dreary path... all cars will be chav-mobiles sooner or later! Even Nissan Micra's (the older person-mobile) is turning chav... bevause it's sooo cheap. Owt thats cheap, the little bleeders get their hands on... thankfully, their attentions are still focused on Saxo's etc.

not every modified car is owned by a chav.

Ha metro.

used to drive one (not own) there great little buggers in the snow! it's satisfying to see the look on a snobs face when he's sturggling to get up a hill in the snow and this little 1.0ltr metro comes crawling past him

we can all try and keep our yarii as tasteful as we like.....but once a few chavs get hold of the idea that this aint a bad little motor then it'll spread....just like for the saxo and 106.

no normal person would now wear labelled burberry clothing or hackett clothing cos of the chav factor.....you get associated with them....in the same way i dont want my car to be associated with those muppets.

No it had better not become Chav!!

I live in Essex so of course there are plenty of chav's...and they all drive Saxo's, Nova's or Golf's!!

As for Yarii..well in this town there is a Balearic Blue T2 on a 53 plate which is driven by a middle age woman and is standard & which doesnt seem to be used much, and a few phase 1's but that is it. They just arent seen around here..they are very much a minority thank god.

Probably cos the nearest dealership is 15 miles away and one junction up the M25 too...

Problem is, although yes it is what you make of it, if a car was driven by loads of chaz, I wouldn't want one, as I would be associated with one.

the yaz is currently not a chav car!!!! but it is what YOU make it!!!!! Chavs crash and speed (thats no stereotype they all do in my home town fact!!) why would they buy what is currently a womans car or older persons car (now theres a stereotype for you!!! :D) coz theyll get sold cheap. its all down hill from here on!!!! as soon as you asked the question you answered your own question to even think for one second wether the car is or isnt a chav car then it is! ohhh what a bad day for all decent yaz owners!!!!

ps dont forget corsa's, polo's, escort's, fiesta's and astra's if you think about it its only logical that the yaz is on the verge of becoming the next bu.... fad for chavs we just have to pray to the car gods that it happens later rather than sooner!!

It's getting all too easy for people to be labelled as a chav. So a car will get the label just as easily.......

A Yaris can be a chavs car but then realistacally - ANY CAR CAN. A Chav may well be able to afford whatever they want to drive...........remember that.

Any Car can be Chaved in mins. Where theirs a will theirs a way.

I wouldn't say Polo is that bad, as their arn't many of them.

Most cars I dont mind, as long as they look good and arn't just "hey look i have a bodykit" despite the fact it looks like ******* on a stick.

I hate Rovers which have been modified! Espically the old ones. Eghhhhh.

And Corsas never look like anything with a bodykit cause they are so comon its like, o a Corsa with a bodykit, been their before nothing special. Whereas you could spend similar or less money on a Yaris these days and people would think "ooo whats that? Seems cool" cause its a much rarer specimin to the modification scene.

I want a car that people look at (of most ages) and go, hey thats a prety nice car. I dont want people to think, what a ****** look at what he has done to that poor car. I want people to like what I have done, but to a wide audience so its cool, and not bad boy ****** racer :)
