Hi everyone! I'm new here, own a Toyota Conquest (corolla hatchback) 1300 (2E engine) and hail from South Africa.

I am keen to do modifications to the engine, even though its a 1300, I dont expect major performance gains but just want a little oomph and fun.

Can anyone advise me as what should be done to the engine to get nice power squeezed from it. Preferably like to go the N/A route.

Welcome aboard mate.

What does your Conquest look like? Is it the same as my avatar on the left?

You'll have to start by doing the basics. Exhaust, airfilter etc. Don't put massive alloys on it coz you'll slow her down as well!

hi surg,and welcome.im new here myself.

in my opinion if you want any noticable increase in power,an engine swap would be a good idea.it might even be cheaper than u think. (although it might be different in SA,i have no idea)
